Your Mason ID card is your official university ID card and your key to life on campus!
The Mason ID card is the all-in-one card to access your Mason Money, meal plan, campus facilities, athletic events, and more. Your first Mason ID is free. If treated properly, the card will last your entire stay at Mason. There is a $20 replacement fee for lost, damaged and stolen cards.

How to Obtain Your ID at Mason Square
In order to print a Mason ID:
- Students: must be registered for the current semester.
- Faculty/staff, contract employees, and affiliates: must complete the electronic approval hiring process in Banner.
Step 1: Upload Photos Online
Log in to the Online Mason Card Office and upload:
- One valid government-issued photo ID (i.e. current driver’s license, military ID, permanent resident card, passport)
- One headshot that meets the photo guidelines.
Don’t want to upload your photo online? Stop by during office hours and have your picture taken and ID printed.
Step 2: Submit for Approval
Approval notice will be sent to the applicant's Mason email within 7-10 business days. The denied reason will be provided if rejected, and another photo can be submitted.
Step 3: Pick Up Your Mason ID
Call the Mason Square card office, 703-993-2095, to request it be printed. Bring a government photo ID and your G number for pickup during our normal operating hours.
